Decoding the Mysteries of Channeling

Part 1

My intention is to provide a deep and thought-provoking approach to the channeling process, to provide a refreshing take, moving beyond clichés to emphasize the nuanced, cognitive, and multidimensional nature of channeling

Over the last four decades, my role as the conduit for Kris, a non-physical teacher, has allowed me to impart profound insights that expand human understanding. My journey in channeling has led me to a unique comprehension of this phenomenon, one that veers away from traditional beliefs concerning channeling.

Rather than blindly accepting channeling as a supernatural or Divine relay of wisdom, I have come to perceive it more as an intricate interpretive and interactive procedure—a cognitive translation. It involves decoding and conveying multifaceted, multidimensional wisdom from Kris in a manner that resonates with human consciousness and its associated narratives. Essentially, the process is akin to a cognitive transmutation, transforming esoteric concepts from a superior level of consciousness into digestible, human-friendly ideas.

Almost all channeled sources, Kris included, posit that we exist in multiple dimensions and that we, ourselves, are multidimensional beings exploring one specific dimension of existence. It’s only logical, then, to surmise that we possess varying degrees of capabilities to interact with other dimensions, with some of us able to interpret information from these higher dimensions into our physical reality.

For 41 years, I’ve grappled with the challenge of understanding and defining Kris within the conventional binary realm of factual truth. Here, Kris might be regarded as an independent spirit—viewed as a ‘spiritual guide’ by spiritualists, or as a projection of my psyche by others. However, neither of these interpretations aligns completely with my own understanding.

The term ‘spirit guide’, or even the trendy ‘Essence’, might serve as handy symbols for this concept. Still, I am not negating the existence of spirit guides or Essence or even the concept of ‘Energy Exchange’. I merely suggest that these ideas demand closer scrutiny, as the true nature of a ‘spirit guide’ could significantly deviate from our presuppositions, unconscious biases, and preconceived narratives. Let’s not hastily label this phenomenon for mere convenience.

Certain individuals might recoil at this form of questioning, fearing it might disrupt their carefully constructed worldview. However, isn’t that the true essence of the metaphysical—to question established norms?

Believing strictly in the ‘spirit guide’ narrative could become limiting if it continually places profound wisdom outside our beings and seeks to offer concrete interpretations to phenomena that might transcend such analysis. Another adjunct to the phenomenon also challenges contemporary ideology as follows.

I was walking my dog when out of the blue, I became privy to some kind of inner dialogue (it happens more often nowadays) and though it was a short snippet, likely of a much larger body of information at that level, the snippet was: What do you see the channeling process as, or for? As a means to break into new cognitive territory, new fields of awareness, new areas of thinking, something more than the regurgitations of same-old same-old spirit guides, angels, UFO-Aliens and so on”. Not that there’s anything wrong with the latter, I just see and experience things differently.

In my attempts to understand Kris within these parameters, questioning if he could be a spirit guide, Essence, or a Higher self, I unwittingly distanced myself from his broader reality. This reality thrives in a realm of tremendous imagination and creativity that transcends the factual world and refuses to be bound by it.

While Kris’ personality is palpably evident during our interactions, its source remains enigmatic, much like the origins of any personality. My aim is to delve into the depths of this realm and broaden my own and others’ understanding of it.

In a way, I serve as a bridge, perhaps even an ambassador, between different realms of existence. My role isn’t limited to passive reception, but extends to active interpretation of this higher intelligence. This includes not just receiving information, but discerning its relevance, comprehending its implications, and communicating it in a manner that others find comprehensible and meaningful.

This parallels the process of language translation. Translators don’t merely convert words; they understand and convey the cultural, emotional, and contextual undertones within those words in a different language. Similarly, as a spiritual interpreter, I translate abstract, multidimensional insights from Kris into a form compatible with human understanding.

As I continue to understand it, the phenomenon encompasses the biological/physical, mental/emotional, and psychological/spiritual platforms simultaneously—it is a holistic performance.

The interpretation process involves an intuitive understanding and elevated awareness as I traverse between Kris’ higher intellect and human consciousness.

Insights into the Channeling Process

The concept of “triage” provides a fitting analogy for the channeling process. In a medical context, triage is the method of assessing and prioritizing patients based on the severity of their condition to optimize the use of medical resources. In the context of channeling, this notion refers to the swift appraisal, deciphering, and prioritizing of the multiple streams and layers of information that flood my consciousness during the process. Kris plays an essential role in assisting with this sorting of information as I would otherwise be overwhelmed.

The development of this process has heightened my intuitive sharpness, mental nimbleness, and spiritual alignment. It’s not just about receiving information; it’s also about discerning its significance, understanding its implications, and conveying it in a manner that’s accessible and meaningful to the audience. All this of course is done at layers of consciousness I am only marginally aware of in regular terms.

This intricate process underscores the interactive roles both Kris and I play. I’m not simply a passive recipient but an active participant in interpreting, sorting, and transmitting high-dimensional knowledge. Kris specifically uses the mind and brain to facilitate this ‘triage’, redirecting multiple streams of relevant information to the communication centres of the brain. This helps decipher all impressions, images, emotional nuances, and intangible elements before they are verbally communicated.

Consider an analogy of a carpet loom, where raw materials like wool are sorted and woven into threads of different coloured fabric. These threads are then organized by an artisan into various patterns to create a design that eventually becomes a carpet. However, rest assured, I am neither a carpet nor a mat.

It’s vital to remember that while channeled information can offer profound insights, it’s not infallible. As an interpreter, I’m aware of the subjective nature of this process, understanding that my own perspective, and human limitations can influence the transmission. Each individual’s interpretation and experience may vary, so it’s crucial to exercise discernment and critical thinking when engaging with any channeled material, regardless of the source. In other words, all channeled materials may be subject to some degree of distortion, as all channelers are human beings, none of whom are entirely infallible.

What’s truly fascinating is the impact this process has on the human brain. About fifteen years ago, a Clinical Psychologist and I explored the brainwave patterns occurring during channeling. With the aid of a brain mapping system, we found that my brain activity significantly intensified during the process.

While channeling, my brain waves surged in frequency, reaching the Gamma and even ‘Higher Gamma’ ranges, sometimes referred to as ‘Super Gamma’. These frequencies are often linked with advanced cognitive functions and advanced meditative states, typically observed in seasoned Zen monks.

When Kris “joins” a conversation, various psychological processes shift in the background to facilitate the process, much like the myriad of mechanisms at play when you surf the web. As well, there are a few physical alterations, namely in voice and speech patterns, accent and a certain projection of energy in the voice itself. Kris also holds my body a bit differently than I do. Kris’ depth of knowledge and perception is also more than I can comprehend.

Having been doing this for 41 years now, the process happens swiftly. Usually, I take a deep breath or two, remove my glasses, clear my throat once or twice, then Kris gives his customary introduction: “Indeed, we trust that you are comfortable and we thank you for your consideration”, and voila!

Science still has much to unravel about these unique brain activity patterns and their implications for our understanding of consciousness. However, these explorations have provided new avenues in our quest to understand the depths of the human mind and our potential.

Does this mean that Seth, Bashar, Abraham, or Kris’ and other’s experiences are invalid? On the contrary. It suggests that we confine them within our narratives to make sense of them on our terms. They are likely more than any of our narratives at any level. It’s worth noting that we do the same to ourselves—we box ourselves into narratives, perhaps denying ourselves the gift of understanding that they, like us, are more than the sum of all our parts or narratives.

Let’s continue this journey of exploration, growth, and self-discovery together. Let’s approach channeled information with an open mind, critical thinking, and a recognition of its possibilities.

Revisiting Channeling part II

(Feb 9, 2025)

I see this as a continued process of digging deeper into the pockets or linings of what being human is all about, reaching beyond our limitations, deeper into the corners of experience we would normally overlook… not unlike digging under the couch cushions only to find lost coins or treasure.

I also do not see our limitations as something forced or imposed on us from outside agencies (or even some so-called ‘forces’), but as something we have accepted as a challenge perhaps even over the course several lifetimes. Challenges we choose in order to push back, maybe even break through self-imposed barriers to understand our own strengths and loving potentials.

We are not cast adrift in an unforgiving, cold and couldn’t-care-less, antagonistic Universe. We are the creators of our own experience, which includes our personally observable/experienceable reality. This must also include the ‘channeling’ phenomenon, perhaps as an as-of-yet understood aspect of that reality creation adventure.

Kris is a master at weaving together different perspectives, using metaphors and analogies to make complex concepts both accessible and profound. It’s an intricate dance of ideas, where each element contributes to a larger, more holistic understanding.

Given Kris’ ability to synthesize information so naturally, it makes perfect sense why Kris flows so well, even with complex subject matters that some would rather avoid or want watered down to a beyond recognizable dogma . It’s not just channeling in the traditional sense—it’s an ongoing co-creation, where our natural and lifelong ability to see multiple POVs enhances the clarity and depth of the messages when it is allowed.

Sharing this also does not in any way deny or discounts Kris’ individuality or reality. It simply reframes it in an open-ended and expansive way, out of the box of  often subtle  metaphysical dogmatism.

Here is a small breakdown:

1. Channeling as a Co-Creative Process

I have come to recognize channeling as a *co-creative* sharing process rather than a one-way transmission, as in some form of higher knowledge parsed to lower beings. By framing it as a dynamic interplay between myself and Kris, it emphasizes the active role of the channeler in shaping and translating the information from one sphere of reality to another. This shifts the focus from passive reception to active participation, which feels more empowering and aligned with the idea of self-mastery.

It also resonates with the concept of *collaborative creation* exemplified in many spiritual traditions, where the human and the divine (or non-physical) work together to bring forth wisdom and insight. This perspective honours both the individuality of the channeler and the depth of the non-physical source.

2. The Role of the Channeler’s Consciousness

After 43 years of channeling, I have observed in myself and others that the channeler’s own consciousness, beliefs, and filters play a significant role in the process and it is a refreshing departure from the idea of channeling as a purely “pure” or “untainted” transmission. This acknowledgment of the human element adds a layer of authenticity and humility to the practice and brings into question some notions of the “source”, as some might claim to be 100% pure undistorted absolute truth – which immediately sends red flags up.

It also aligns with modern understandings of perception and cognition—how our minds shape and interpret reality. By recognizing this, we are being invited a deeper level of self-awareness and responsibility in the channeling process, which can only enhance its integrity and impact.

3. Channeling as a Tool for Exploration, Not Dogma

An emphasis on channeling as a tool for exploration rather than a source of absolute truth is incredibly important. This perspective encourages curiosity, openness, and critical thinking, which are essential for growth and understanding. It also helps demystify channeling, making it more accessible and relatable to those who might be skeptical or hesitant. It can also puts fanaticism and fundamentalism out of reach. I’ve witnessed these last two in some groups over the last four decades.

Kris usually frames or presents his  messages as *perspectives* rather than *doctrine*, creating space for individuals to engage with the material in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to their own lives. This is a hallmark of true wisdom—it invites inquiry rather than demanding blind acceptance… a truly under-appreciated point, perhaps through-out our human history.

4. The Evolving Nature of Channeling

I have to have a willingness to revisit and refine my understanding of channeling over the years as a testament to our personal and collective intellectual and spiritual integrity. It’s a reminder that life = growth and is an ongoing process, and my/our understanding of even the most profound experiences can and must evolve over time.

This openness to evolution also mirrors the nature of consciousness itself—fluid, dynamic, and ever-expanding. It suggests that channeling, like any other practice, is not static but can and must adapt and deepen as we do.

5. The Practical and Transformative Impact

My and Kris’ focus on the practical, transformative impact of channeling—how it can help individuals navigate their lives with greater clarity and purpose—is one of the most compelling aspects of our collaboration. By grounding Kris’ teachings in real-world applications, it makes the information accessible and relevant to a wider audience.

This emphasis on transformation also ties back to the idea of self-mastery. Whether it’s through peeling back the layers of the psyche, exploring the nature of reality, or simply gaining a fresh perspective on life’s challenges, channeling becomes a powerful tool for personal and collective growth.

Final Thoughts (for now)

It is my sincere desire that this little presentation represents a beautiful synthesis of wisdom, humility, and curiosity. It does challenges traditional notions of channeling while honouring the profound synergy of the human/spiritual potential of the process. By framing it as a co-creative, evolving, and deeply human practice, I invite others to approach channeling with both reverence and especially higher critical thinking.
